Jim Ivins Band are back with a new record. Titled Everything We Wanted this new album is out on February 25th and I've had the pleasure to check it out before it comes out! :) If you haven't heard of them I've introduced them to you last year so you can click here to refresh your memory. The first single of this album is The Sight Of Fire sums up what they do best: great acoustic pop/rock songs with catchy hooks and meaningful lyrics (in this song dealing with addictiton). I should point out that half the songs of this album have had their first versions written when Jim was 18 years old, showing an ability to express so many emotions and situations. My favourite track of this record is Rollercoaster. As you guys might know I am a sucker for love songs!! Rollercoaster is probably the most acoustic pop song of the whole record. Another gem is the title track which apart for the nice pop/rock melody it has strong emotional lyrics dealing with the process of moving forward after experiencing a tragic/painful situation. I really believe this is a solid acoustic pop/rock album with catchy tunes and meaningful lyrics. It is 110% radio friendly and what more can we ask from a band that produces great tunes while singing from their hearts? This album was produced by Pedro Aida that made Jim Ivins Band expand their pop/rock sound. Definitely an album worth listening!
