Quem está pronto para música e artistas fresquinhos? Aqui têm os Jim Ivins Band de Richmond, EUA. O grupo é composto por Jim Ivins (Vocalista/Guitarra), Jack Ivins (Bateria), Drew Martin (Guitarras/Backing Vocals) e Bobby Gary (Baixo/Backing Vocals). Esta banda de pop/rock acústico teve início em 2007 e agora têm em mãos um novo projecto intitulado de Songs Of Life: The Kathy Ivins Project. Este projecto irá beneficiar a Kathy Ivins Fund, uma fundação em honra à mãe de Jack e Jim Ivins que faleceu no ano passado com melanoma. Os lucros deste álbum irão para programas de fitness e bem-estar que promovem estilos de vida mais saudáveis (mais info: www.kathyivinsfund.org/). Eu  tive a oportunidade de ouvir alguns temas deste projecto e são definitivamente faixas muito "radio friendly". A sonoridade pop/rock acústica é um dos meus aspectos favoritos destes temas cujas mensagens positivas nos fazem sentir bem. Sem dúvida um projecto a ter em conta :)

Who's ready for some fresh artists & songs?? I am proud to introduce you to Jim Ivins Band from Richmond, VA (USA). The guys are: Jim Ivins - Lead Vocals/Guitars, Jack Ivins - Drums, Drew Martin - Guitars/Backing Vocals and Bobby Gary - Bass/Backing Vocals. This acoustic pop/rock band begun in 2007 and now they have a new project on their hands titled: Songs Of Life: The Kathy Ivins Project. This project benefits The Kathy Ivins Fund, a foundation started by Jim and Jack Ivins in their mother's honor after she lost her fight with melanoma in July of last year. The fund goes to benefit fitness and wellness programs and promote healthy lifestyles (more info at www.kathyivinsfund.org/). I had the change to check out some of the songs of this project and they are really radio friendly. I can listen to them all day long and won't get tired of it! Its pop/rock acoustic feel is one of my favourite things of these feel-good tracks! :) They really have a very good message and are for a very noble cause. Definitely a project worth to check out! And they're unsigned?? Come on labels, move those butts!!
