Here I introduce you to Jawara Haughton (Abyss Da Dark). This Brooklyn native started rapping at the age of 10 and hasn't stopped since. “Abyss" was a word that he used a lot when he was younger in his rhymes and "Da Dark" part was added by his eldest brother. His musical influences are his eldest brother, Prim Diamonds, early DMX, Nas, early Jay-Z, Eminem and Lauryn Hill. He dropped two mix tapes from 2007-2008. Opium and the follow-up Opium 2 the Addiction, mixtapes done over industry beats.In 2009, he released "Forever and a Day" his first all- original project with his go-to producer Panama Red. In 2010, Abyss Da Dark released two projects “Opium 3” and “From My Heart with Love”. Now you can listen to a new song of his titled High From a Feeling.
