Como sabem Goodbye Lullaby já saiu em alguns países e sairá a 8 de Março nos EUA. Agora Avril nos revelou que a sua discográfica, RCA, pouco respondeu ao material do álbum. Avril diz estar um pouco "magoada" com o facto da resposta fria da discográfica em relação ao material que Avril arranjou para este álbum e que queriam uma sonoridade mais comercial. No entanto Avril não cedeu e lá conseguiu manter as suas faixas:
Magoa um pouco. Coloquei tanto neste álbum mas a discográfica foi um bocado fria. Eles queriam que eu fosse numa direcção diferente e eu não estava satisfeita com isso. Já faço isto há 10 anos e escrevo a minha música. Toda esta gente me estava a dizer o que fazer e eu não queria nada disso. Este é o meu 4º álbum e tenho 26 anos, por isso é a altura de fazer algo diferente. Eu adoro este álbum e estou muito orgulhosa dele.

As you know Goodbye Lullaby has come out in some countries and will come out on March 8th in the US. Now Avril has revealed that her label, RCA, was cold to the songs she chose. Avril said she was a bit hurt by the cold response and the label's wishes to make her go into a more commercial direction:
t's hurtful actually. I put so much into this record, but the record company were kind of cold. But what it came down to was they really wanted me to go in a different direction and that was not OK with me. I've been doing this for ten years now and I write my own music. All of these new people were telling me what to do and I was like: 'NO, NO, NO!' This is my fourth record and I'm 26 so it's time for me to do something a little different. I love this record and I'm really proud of it.
