As TLC são consideradas como a Girl Band de R&B com mais sucesso de todos os tempos. Formada em 1990 com o nome de 2nd Nature mas que depois foi mudado para TLC ( Tender Loving Care) em 1991. Esta banda descobriu maior sucesso em 1994, com o hit Waterfalls.
De acordo com a RIAA, elas venderam 22 milhões de álbuns nos Estados Unidos. O seu segundo álbum, CrazySexyCool (1994), foi o primeiro álbum de uma banda feminina a receber o disco de diamante da RIAA, pela venda de 10 milhões de cópias. Seus maiores hits incluem Waterfalls, Creep, No Scrubs e Unpretty. Os membros da banda são: Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes e Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. Em 2002 Lisa Lopes morreu num acidente de automóvel abalando profundamente a banda e o mundo do R&B.


Boyzone é uma boy band da Irlanda criada em 1993, dissolvida em 2000 e recriada em 2007. Os membros são: Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Michael Graham. A banda teve 6 #1 singles e 4 #1 álbuns.

In early 2002, just before the release of TLC's fourth Album, 3D, Lopes was killed in a car accident in Honduras.

Boyzone are an Irish boy band who had popular mainstream success during the 1990s (Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch.). They were most successful in the Republic of Ireland, Australia, Asia and the UK and they also had differing levels of success in parts of Central Europe. The band have released six #1 UK hit singles and four #1 albums, with sales approaching 20 million records as of 2008. They made a comeback in 2007, originally with the intention of just touring but Ronan Keating confirmed in an interview that they wanted to "outdo Take That" in terms of a successful reunion.
