Canadian singer and songwriter Evan James has just shared his brand new single Thick of It, a deeply personal song about losing somemone irreplaceable. 

 

His 4th single to date, Thick of It is a raw, grief-stricken song about being consumed by the confusion, shock, and permanence of loss of someone you loved and it explores what it feels like when you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel of grief. It's an honest, heartbreaking song about sorting through all the pieces of yourself that fell apart in the aftermath, and deciding which parts of who you were to carry forward and which to leave in the past. 

 

This relatable story is flawlessly conveyed through Evan James's heartfelt vocal delivery and layered harmonies which are accompanied by lush keys, shimmering synths, subtle rhythms and bass that come together to create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for his gorgeous vocals to soar.
