runner Unveil New Single ‘My Man’

Vancouver, BC-based band runner have just unveiled their brand new single My Man, a playful, wistful country song about leaving one relationship and finding another waiting around the corner. 

 

Written by singer-songwriter Kira Cuthbertson, My Man captures that strange in-between period when one chapter has barely closed and you’re already learning the small, intimate details of somebody new. It reflects how quickly romantic lives can change, and how sometimes it's better to enjoy the experience than search too hard for greater meaning. A song that is flawlessly conveyed through her rich, expressive vocals which are nicely accompanied by killer bass touches, driving drum patterns, lush guitar strums, rich textures and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm and easygoing listening experience.

Speaking about the song, Kira Cuthbertson said,

I was thinking about how there’s always someone around the corner if one relationship ends. I was feeling like I was just moving on from one to the next but also having fun and trying not to take any of it too seriously.
