Maddie Regent Unveils New Single ‘Lizzy’
CaesarLiveNLoud
Los Angeles-based, Canadian pop singer and songwriter Maddie Regent shares her brand new single Lizzy, a playful, cinematic pop song about the magnetic pull between two people determined not to fall for each other.
The follow up to the honest See Me, and the sombre indie-pop/folk Schoolbags, Lizzy is a warm indie-pop gem that finds the talented artist singing about doing something in her power to convince herself she hates someone she very clearly can’t stay away from. A song that plays out like an enemies-to-lovers story lifted straight from the pages of a romance novel.
You can really feel the raw emotion pouring from Maddie Regent's smooth, passionate vocals which are nicely accompanied by intricate guitar plucks that are seamlessly intertwined with lush piano keys, warm brass touches, steady drum patterns, delicate strings and captivating rhythms that come together to create an overall enthralling and cinematic listening experience.
Speaking about the song, Maddie Regent said,
My favorite love stories start with two enemies who spend all their time fighting their attraction to one another. I wanted to write a song that captured that stubborn inevitable love.
The single arrives alongside an official music video directed by Maya Sassoon.
