Jessica Mar Drops New Single ‘Walla Walla’

American singer and songwriter Jessica Mar has just dropped her brand new single Walla Walla, a hopeful road trip anthem about the excitement that accompanies a journey’s beginning. 

 

The first single from her upcoming EP, Walla Walla captures the feeling of getting in the car, turning up the music, and moving toward something new. It's a song that explores the process of moving through difficult experiences, discovering herself anew, and ultimately finding freedom, wisdom, and strength from within. This upbeat, feel-good message is beautifully conveyed through Mar's soulful vocals which soar passionately over the infectious folk-pop production that features intricate guitar riffs, catchy rhythms and beats that create a breezy vibe perfect for road trips and to get one in a good mood in no time.

Speaking about the song, Jessica Mar said,

The name ‘Walla Walla’ sounds like something written by Dr. Seuss, but I can assure you—it’s a real city in Washington. A magical one, at that! The mere idea of it inspired me to write a song, using the journey of a road trip there as a metaphor for new beginnings—and more specifically, a new beginning that was just around the corner in my own life at that time.
