Raynes Share ‘Pure Blue’ Music Video

Los Angeles-based alt-pop trio Raynes, made up of Americans Mat Charley and Joe Berger and UK native Mark Race, have just unveiled the official music video for their latest single Pure Blue. 

 

The third and final single off of their upcoming debut album Radio Remind Me, which will be released on October 16th, Pure Blue is a warm and intimate indie-pop/indie-folk song that builds from intimacy to explosion, layering accordion, bouzouki, and mandolin. A beautiful and nostalgic reflection on childhood, time and the bittersweet journey of growing up, looking back through the window of memory and still seeing the pure blue innocence of who you used to be. This song is now accompanied by a captivating music video, directed by Ryan Cory, which was shot in a prairie in Bismarck, North Dakota where Mat and Joe first met in college.

Speaking about the song, Raynes said,

When you’re young, you crave the freedom that comes with growing up. But you can’t obtain that freedom without abandoning the comfort and safety of childhood, and, once you’re older, you start to wonder if the trade-off was really worth it.
