Lynn x David Michael Frank Share Cinematic Single ‘We Were Never Okay’

California-based singer and songwriter Lynn has teamed up with fellow American artist David Michael Frank to deliver her brand new single We Were Never Okay, a dramatic, cinematic pop-rock duet. 

 

Taken from her upcoming EP Sinner (out on October 2nd), We Were Never Okay follows last month's punchy Paranoia and the dark-pop Sinner, and finds both artists pouring their hearts out and singing about the breaking point of a dying relationship. It's a raw and emotionally exhausting portrait of a relationship that slowly drained both parties until there was nothing left to salvage. A deeply honest and bittersweet song about finally admitting that things were never okay. 

 

This relatable storytelling is beautifully conveyed through Lynn and David's powerful and passionate vocal deliveries which soar brightly atop the cinematic pop-rock production. Apart from their gorgeous vocals, I am particularly fond of the sweeping orchestral elements and how they are nicely paired with gritty rock production that create the perfect soundscape to match the raw emotion and pain from their storytelling. This is such an amazing song which I have on repeat!! Enjoy!
