Julia Thomsen and Yujin Baek have teamed up for "Ripple" and it flows like a gentle stream. The piano enters alone for maybe four bars before the synth shows up, and that patience works well. I kept waiting for "Ripple" to rush itself and it never did. Julia Thomsen lets the two instruments find each other slowly, and by the time Yujin Baek's part slides in, it doesn't feel like a guest verse bolted on top, it feels like synergy in action.

The atmospheric layers build gradually and you can't pinpoint the moment the track goes from intimate to huge, they just swell and pull back without ever getting loud about it. Nothing here tips into drama, even the fullest moments stay gentle, and I came out the other side calmer than when I hit play.
