MOLTENO Releases New Single ‘Daydream’

London-based ethereal alt-pop singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, MOLTENO has just released her brand new single Daydream, a mesmerising alt-pop/indietronica cut. 

 

Out now via 1000 Moons, Daydream is the second single to be lifted from her forthcoming EP Element 3 and finds the talented artist gifting us with an immersive and hypnotic listening experience. Daydream is the rose-coloured sunglasses, with no desire to take them off, looking back at toxic relationships and realising the pull is still there years later. A backwards glance at someone who was bad news, hindsight arriving too late to protect her and just in time to make the memory beautiful. 

 

This nostalgia-infused song is beautifully conveyed through MOLTENO's ethereal-like vocal delivery which glides effortlessly over analogue synths and arpeggiators that circle and recircle, nicely intertwined with live and programmed drums that provide a pulse under the reverie, together creating an overall hypnotic, enthralling listening experience.

Speaking about the single, MOLTENO shares:

I wrote 'Daydream' looking back at relationships that weren't good for me, and finding the pull still there years later. I think most of us have a memory like that: one we’ve quietly made more beautiful than it was, because the truth is harder to sit with.
