izzi Unveils New Single ‘Make Me Watch’

Independent British singer-songwriter, producer and composer izzi has just unveiled her striking new single Make Me Watch, an unflinching exploration of the increasing normalisation of sexual violence, coercion and the degradation of women in the digital age.

Written, recorded and produced entirely by izzi, Make Me Watch finds the talented artist shining a light on the darker realities of the female experience, questioning the growing accessibility and normalisation of harmful sexual content while encouraging meaningful conversation. A powerful and serious storytelling that is flawlessly conveyed through her smooth, enchanting vocals and layered harmonies.

Make Me Watch pairs emotionally charged lyricism with an infectious production, creating a deliberate contrast between its upbeat sound and deeply unsettling subject matter. I am loving how smooth and warm the song is, with lush synths, groovy rhythms and electronic textures creating an immersive soundscape that builds up and bursts with high-energy beats and keys that enhance the raw emotion and passion of her storytelling.

Speaking about the song, izzi said,
I wrote, recorded and produced 'Make Me Watch' to draw attention to the rising trend of sexual violence, coercion and degradation towards women, and to encourage conversations that aren't happening enough. Setting the sombre lyrics against an upbeat dance instrumental reflects the disturbing contrast between how serious these issues are and how normalised they've become. As a songwriter, I don't want to shy away from uncomfortable topics. Music has the power to communicate emotions beyond words, raise awareness and help people feel less alone.
