Eigenface Unveil New Single ‘House by the Sea’

New Zealand/New York trio Eigenface have just unveiled their brand new single House by the Sea, an enchanting and dreamy indie-pop gem. 

 

Out now via Home Alone Music, House by the Sea is a beautifully honest and grounding reflection on learning to live with the raw, inpredictable power of nature. A calming and resilient track about choosing to sit with discomfort rather than run from it, exploring the tension between seeking shelter and being exposed, between control and acceptence, until body, landscape, and music become inseparable. A story that is effortlessy conveyed through Penelope Esplin's delicate, enchanting vocals which glide beautifully atop subtle electronic rhythms, smooth beats, airy elements and textures that come together to create an overall warm and dreamy listening experience. 

 

For the video, directed by Threading Frames, we find dancer Tyler Carney-Faleatua awakening alone in an unforgiving landscape, moving from precision and restraint to chaos and surrender as the natural world begins to dictate her every action.
