Cade Hoppe Releases New Single ‘Lake Michigan’

New York-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Cade Hoppe has just released his brand new single Lake Michigan, an upbeat indie-pop/rock song. 

 

Taken from his forthcoming album Safer at a Distance, Lake Michigan finds the talented artist reflecting on expectations, ambition, and the beauty of accepting life's unexpected detours. It's a cinematic and bittersweet song about grief, survival and carrying someone with you long after they're gone. This message is flawlessly conveyed through Hoppe's smooth, expressive vocals which are accompanied by warm grooves, shimmering melodies, bright synths, intricate guitar riffs and steady drum beats that come together to create an overall upbeat and heartfelt listening experience.

It's a story about driving from the East Coast to the West Coast, hoping to make it to the Pacific Ocean. But life never goes as planned, and sometimes you've got to make peace with only ever making it to Lake Michigan—after all, they basically look the same.
