Tragic Mick, the solo project of Liverpool songwriter Tom Cartledge, formerly of Rook & The Ravens, has just shared his brand new single Simpler Times, a passionate and heartfelt indie-pop/rock song. 

 

Out now via Coachouse Records, Simpler Times is a reflective meditation on nostalgia, memory and the stories we tell ourselves about the past. A relatable storytelling that is flawlessly conveyed through Tragic Mick's emotionally-charged vocals which glide passionately over the warm, melodic production. Accompanying his lush vocals we have soaring memorable piano keys nicely intertwined with soaring guitar riffs, punchy drum patterns and cinematic strings that come together to create an overall warm, emotionally honest listening experience.
