Dutch composer, producer, singer and performer Thomas Azier has just dropped his brand new single Room of Love, a haunting indietronica/dream pop song.
What I like the most about this song is that voice which is packed with raw emotion and soul, effortlessly capturing our attention from star to finish. These lush, siren-esque vocals tell a story of sensuality and softness inside of a harsh reality, a relatable storytelling that is wrapped around a memorable production.
Accompanying those amazing vocals we have subtle beats nicely intertwined with lush synts/strings, warm bass, rich textures, catchy rhythms and a memorable sax solo that enhances the sensuality of his storytelling and together create an overall warm and dreamy atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, Thomas Azier said,
Room Of Love is an exploration of softness and sensuality inside of a harsh reality. I tried to render the tension between trauma and tenderness, the ambiguity and contrast that co-exist but are rarely voiced in the same breath. I write about moments when the daily routine of life bleeds into something magical, something of splendor or grandeur. Moments when dream logic applies and earthly laws don’t seem to matter. I am walking across volcanic rock, taking in the view of lava spewing from a crater.
