MASKS Shares New Single ‘Eventually’

MASKS, the project of multi-instrumentalist/producer sFox, has just shared his brand new single Eventually, the latest single to be taken from his upcoming debut EP, First Life - due to be self-released on July 10th. 

 

Eventually is a tender alt-pop/synthwave cut about loving someone through their struggles, even though you realise your own wellbeing is tied up in their perhaps a little too tightly. It's a bittersweet cut about letting go with love and trusting someone to find themselves on their own terms. A message that is beautifully conveyed through smooth, expressive vocals and layered harmonies which radiate raw emotion and soul, gliding effortlessly over the captivating production. I am particularly fond of the intricate guitars and how they are seamlessly intertwined with lush synth lines, driving rhythms and beats before it slows down into a more downtempo, moody pace with a subtle beat, echoing harmonies and bright electronics that come together to match the raw emotion of his storytelling.

Speaking on the song’s origin, sFox says

This song began much more minimally. It kept pushing to open up more, so the work was in retaining the same emotion I felt when it was small, which is kind of a microcosm for this project overall.
