Lily Lane Drops New Single ‘So Long, California’

Genre-blending pop-soul artist Lily Lane has just shared her brand new single So Long, California, a nostalgic, cinematic-pop track.

Out now via More Trouble Music, So Long, California finds the talented artist exploring the complicated emotions of leaving behind a city that looked like the dream but never truly felt like home, capturing the strange guilt of walking away from something that wasn’t wrong, just not right. A relatable message that is beautifully conveyed through Lane's soul-soaked vocals which glide passionately over the captivating production. Apart from those vocals, I am particularly fond of the steady drum beats which are seamlessly intertwined with spacey, airy synths, rich electronic textures and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, introspective atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Lily Lane said,
It felt like a breakup with someone who didn’t deserve it. It feels good but doesn’t feel right was something that was hard to grapple with, because it almost felt like LA didn’t deserve to be broken up with. But just because something isn’t bad doesn’t mean it is right for you.
