Emma Teufel Drops New Single ‘Scared?’

American singer and songwriter Emma Teufel has just dropped her brand new single Scared?, an upbeat indie/dance-pop song. 

 

Referred to in the studio as her "DILF song", Scared? is a tongue-in-cheek cut that pulls inspiration from Lana Del Rey’s early works and the 1999 film American Beauty. It's a bold and unapologetically flirtatious track about embracing one's own magnetism and challenging someone to stop overthinking and just go for it. A play with power dynamic and the thrill of someone older being completely thrown off balance by a younger person's confidence. This story is beautifully conveyed through Teufel's rich, expressive vocals which glide passionately over the upbeat production that features punchy beats, catchy synths and infectious melodies. Scared? follows her previous gems Enemies and Nice Guy!
