Martiboy Shares Debut Single ‘Pole Position’

Belgian singer-songwriter, producer, and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Martiboy has just released his official debut single Pole Position, a dreamy indie-pop song that explores love through timing and missed connections. 

 

Out now via VÉRITÉ LE LABEL/Capitane Coop, Pole Position is a song about having had a head start in a relationship, yet never managing to cross the line at the right moment. Through this song, Martiboy explores love through the lens of timing, regret, and the difficulty of opening up—without ever giving in to overstatement or pathos. It finds one realising too late that what truly matters isn't the race, but the ability to let go. A song that is beautifully conveyed through Martiboy's smooth, delicate vocals which glide effortlessly over a simple guitar riff nicely paired with steady drum patterns and hazy synths. I am also very fond that the song is in French which just makes it sound smoother and deeper with the song's groove and overall warm, laid-back vibes.
