Jonathan Lobo Shares New Single ‘Hero’

Dubai-based singer and songwriter Jonathan Lobo has just shared his brand new single Hero, a piano-led singer-songwriter cut inspired by John Mayer / Elton John. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and how raw and honest it sounds. Hero is a moving meditation on legacy, mortality, and the fear of being remembered for your worst moments rather than your best intentions. It's a touching song about wanting to be remembered not for perfection but for the sincerity of one's effort. This raw and anchingly honest cut is beautifully conveyed through Lobo's smooth, expressive vocals which are accompanied by a pinao-led melody that is nicely intertwined with steady drum beats, organ keys, lush guitar plucks and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm and intimate listening experience.

Speaking about the song, Jonathan Lobo said,

It's a song I wrote while thinking about how I would want to be remembered. It's an honest confession of my feelings meant to provoke thought in the listener. I've used all live instruments and even hand-drawn the art. The idea was to keep this as real as possible to honour the song.
