Azu Yeché Releases New Single ‘Weak’

British Nigerian soul artist Azu Yeché has just shared his brand new single Weak, a soulful reflection on heartbreak and the things left unsaid. 

 

Produced by Fred Cox (Samm Henshaw, Yazmin Lacey, Paloma Faith, James Vickery), Weak finds the talented artist delivering a post mortem of a relationship, trying to see how they've reached this point. It shows him realising things are truly over but sometimes hoping they could get back together again as he still has feelings for them. What I like the most about this song is its intimacy and how honeyed and soulful Yeché's vocals are, gliding beautifully over the heartwarming production. 

 

I am loving the way his voice effortlessly makes me feel each and every single word he is singing, as if I am the one going through those heartbreak moments. Accompanying his gorgeous vocals and layered harmonies we have lush guitar plucks nicely intertwined with subtle strings, steady drum patterns and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, soulful listening experience.
