TĀLĀ Shares New Single ‘I Need It’

British / Iranian Singer, Songwriter & Producer TĀLĀ has just shared her highly anticipated new single I Need It, a confident indie electronic cut out now. 

 

The third single to be taken from her upcoming album, set for release this year, I Need It is about breaking through, doubting yourself, sitting with your fears, the voices in us that sometimes try to protect us but can sometimes limit us and what we’re capable of. The fear to express what we want and realise our power. A relatable song that is beautifully conveyed through TĀLĀ's vocals which are accompanied by rich electronic textures, captivating beats, cool synths and rhythms that come together to create an empowering and energetic listening experience. Accompanying the release, TĀLĀ shares an energetic new music video filmed in Bali with director and photographer Oktavian.

Speaking of the track, TĀLĀ says,

I first started working on this track in 2015. It was the first time I worked with Mssingno and I remember being really excited for this session. The song came about later in different stages. I already had the hook but it took time to grow and evolve into what it is now. It went through many iterations and I even had my friend Lunakai jump in on the later production with me so that we could give it a fresh new life. I also had my friend Ben Bashi add live drums to take it to a whole other dimension. For me, songs are like sculptures, refining and shaping and sometimes you have to step away for a while to really have the right perspective to finish it. Ultimately, I just want people to enjoy listening to the track. Whether you’re getting ready for a big game, a business meeting, I want it to be the hype you need to empower yourself! It has BIG energy so that is what I want listeners to take away from it.
