Stephen Peter Rodgers Shares New Single ‘Perfect Story’

American singer and songwriter Stephen Peter Rodgers has just shared his brand new single Perfect Story, a warm and heartfelt Folk/Americana song. 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and intimate touch which is enhanced by Rodgers's deep, rich vocals that radiate so much soul and emotion from start to finish. Out now via Bigger Beast Records, Perfect Story finds the talented artist singing about how sometimes in life things don't go the way we hoped for but there's still something beautiful happening. I am really enjoying how stunning his vocal delivery is and how it is nicely accompanied by intricate acoustic guitar plucks, nicely intertwined with subtle beats and twangy guitar touches that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for an introspective day alone.

Speaking about the song, Rodgers said,

On the December day that I wrote “Perfect Story,” I was in my garden cleaning up after a storm, watching all of the different kinds of birds that visit our yard. I found a pencil in my old barn and feverishly began writing the song on the back of old envelopes. I was reflecting on how thankful I am to have followed so many of my dreams using the gifts I’ve been given, and how grateful I am for my life and the supportive family around me. I had also spent a few days with friends going through a recent breakup, and it got me thinking that sometimes, even when things don’t work out the way we hope, something much more beautiful happens on the other side of the darkness, even if, in the moment, we can’t see it at all.
