Kezia Povey Unveils New Single ‘The Sound’

British singer and songwriter Kezia Povey has just unveiled her brand new single The Sound, a heartfelt alt-pop gem out now via Breaking The Ceiling Records. 

 

Co-written by Kezia Povey and Luke Potter, The Sound finds the talented artist pouring her heart out and singing about how sometimes people aren't always who you think they are. It finds her finally realising that a friendship was never as real as it seemed, full of fake loyalty, gossip and betrayal behind closed doors. It's a bold "breakup" letter to a toxic friendship as one regains their own control and strips away the power and pedestal they once gave this person. A relatable storytelling flawlessly conveyed through Povey's enchanting vocals which glide effortlessly over a trap-inspired beat nicely intertwined with delicate piano keys, lush atmospherics and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere packed with raw soul and emotion.
