Eliz Unveils New Single ‘Sooner’

San Francisco-based 14-year-old indie singer-songwriter Eliz shares her brand new single Sooner, a delicate indie pop song that captures the moment you stop romanticising someone who hurt you and finally recognise your own worth. 

 

The latest single to be lifted from her second album Cabin 232, Sooner is her first collaboration with her friend and songwriter Sofia Jolie and finds her capturing the frustration and self-awareness of realising you stayed too long in an unhealthy relationship — the regret of seeing the good in people who weren’t good to you, and the shift toward finally valuing yourself. An honest and relatable storytelling that is beautifully conveyed through Eliz's delicate, expressive vocals and layered harmonies which are accompanied by intricate guitar plucks, subtle piano keys and gentle rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere.
