Chloe Star Shares New Single ‘Emergency Contact’

Persian-Native American singer, songwriter, visual artist, and tribal advocate Chloe Star shares her brand new single Emergency Contact, a punchy alt-pop/rock song.
Emergency Contact finds the Los Angeles-based artist flipping her hurt and heartbreak into a moment of liberation. Co-written with JP Clark (blink-182, Bryce Vine, Kim Petras), this track is about breaking the cycle of one-sided love and reclaiming one's power, refusing to be the other person's "emergency contact" anymore. A relatable storytelling beautifully conveyed through Star's bold, commanding vocals which soar passionately over the high-energy production. Apart from her vocals, I am particularly fond of the infectious guitar plucks which are seamlessly intertwined with upbeat drum patterns, catchy rhythms and melodies that come together to create a high-energy, empowering atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, Chloe Star said,
It’s about being the person who always answers — until you finally stop. I was always ready to drop everything for her. But love isn’t supposed to feel like a one-way street. At some point, you realize you deserve someone who shows up the same way. I’ve given my time, my effort, my loyalty, and it hasn’t been returned in the same way. This song is about letting them know I’m not that person anymore.
