Nashville-based alt-pop artist Caroline Romano unveils her brand new single Not Used To You, the latest single to be taken from her EP, It Took Me Falling, which is out now!
Co-written with Todd Tran, Sam Varga, and Michael Van Wagoner, Not Used To You finds the talented artist capturing the disorienting feeling of being so accustomed to heartbreak that healthy love feels unfamiliar. It finds her starting to realise that, despite previous heartbreak, maybe this time things could be different.
A relatable storytelling flawlessly conveyed through Caroline Romano's powerful, passionate vocals which glide confidently over the upbeat production. Accompanying her gorgeous vocals, we have an infectious, driving beat that is nicely intertwined with lush guitar plucks, catchy rhythms and synths that together create an overall honest and high-energy atmosphere!
Speaking about the song, Caroline Romero said,
It’s about being so used to having your heart broken or things going wrong that it’s almost uncomfortable when they go right. It’s holding your breath and waiting for the other shoe to drop, but hoping they kiss you anyway. From experience, heartbreak is a habit that’s hard to shake, but ‘Not Used to You’ is the first realization that it could be something different this time.
