Orchid Orchestra Drop New Single ‘In Time’

Orchid Orchestra, a dynamic Vancouver-based ensemble led by songwriter Rupert Hudson, share their brand new single In Time, an upbeat, psych-rock-infused piece of alt-pop music.

In Time is a raw, self-confession about looking back and learning to forgive ourselves for things that we hold regret about. It shows a person becoming aware that their need for control, love and validation came from a place of fear and insecurity rather than malice. A song about the process of self-reckoning, In Time finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing his expressive, dynamic vocals over an upbeat production that pairs lush synths nicely intertwined with a steady beat, captivating rhythms, intricate guitar riffs and rich electronic textures that together create the perfect soundscape for his relatable storytelling to soar!

Speaking about the song, Rupert Hudson said,
"In Time" was written about six years ago when I lived in complete isolation as a fire lookout in northern Alberta. I had just started therapy and was starting to look back on the things in my life that I still held a lot of regret about. This song to me was really cathartic for helping me process and learn how to forgive myself for these things. It evolved a lot since its initial form, especially after working on it with KC, a wonderful producer here in Vancouver who helped elevate the sound to be so fun and dancey and make a sort of celebratory experience out of forgiveness.
