Ricky Barson has been through it. Losing Dom Slone, his lead singer and the beating heart of Educatable, could have finished the whole thing off. Instead he picked up a guitar and wrote "Thank You," and honestly it sounds nothing like a man carrying grief. It sounds like a man who decided to celebrate instead.

The track bounces between big Coldplay atmospherics and the kind of fidgety, sun drenched energy Vampire Weekend do so well, with World music rhythms sneaking in underneath that genuinely catch you off guard. It sticks with you. Barson has been at this since 2002 and you can hear every one of those years in how assured this feels. Well worth your time.
