Out now via Blue Morph Music, Paint Your Lips Red is a reflection of Mindy's experiences while living abroad in Madrid as a teenager within a strict religious community. It finds the talented artist addressing the religion-inspired modesty culture and how what women wear is often very controlled. The song reflects an alternate universe where Mindy felt free to get ready to go out the same way her friends did: glam makeup, fashionable clothes, and without having to invent a story to their parents about where they were that evening. A relatable message beautifully conveyed through Gledhill's expressive vocals which soar effortlessly over steady drum beats nicely intertwined with shimmering synths, delicate strings and guitar plucks that together create an overall upbeat and playful atmosphere.
