Brook Lynn Shares New Single ‘EMPTY. (Ballad Version)’

Dutch singer and songwriter Brook Lynn shares a stellar ballad version of her gorgeous single EMPTY..

Music, this version finds the talented artist taking the original cut and reimagining it as a cinematic and emotionally-charged ballad, and the result is an impressive track that won me over from the start. I am a fan of the original cut but I have to admit that this version truly hits home in a way that is guaranteed to give you the feels in no time.  

EMPTY. is a song about wanting reassurance in love after being hurt before; beautifully capturing the vulnerability of hoping for just enough effort to feel safe and chosen. You can feel the raw emotion and soul pouring from Brook Lynn's heartfelt, powerful vocals which oar passionately over the delicate piano keys that are seamlessly intertwined with lush, cinematic strings and guitar plucks towards the end, making this quite a memorable and enthralling listening experience! EMPTY (Ballad Version) feels like a turning point for me. It’s a cover of my own song, but reimagined in a way that’s closer to how I first wrote it. Just piano, strings, and space. I became known for taking other people’s songs and making them feel intimate and captivating, and I wanted to apply that same emotional precision to something I wrote myself. It’s my first real step into what I call Suspenseful Pop: minimal, tense, and cinematic, the way my fans first discovered me.
