Mindy Gledhill Unveils New Single ‘Livin' the Dream’

American singer and songwriter Mindy Gledhill has just shared her brand new single Livin' the Dream, a gentle folk-pop song perfect for a cold, rainy day home alone! 

 

Written with fellow Utah musicians Bly Wallentine and Andrew Colin Beck, Livin' the Dream is one of Mmindy's most surprising songs yet, country-kissed indie folk meets Americana with a lot of heart and a little bit of twang. This gem finds the talented artist lamenting how she's always dreaming but never truly living the dream, showcasing how often artists and other creatives deliver art from the depths of their souls only to be drown out by the ocean of other voices in a goldfish-attention economy. What I like the most about this song is how expressive and heartfelt Gledhill's vocals are, beautifully drawing my attention to her storytelling. Apart from her stellar vocal performance, I am very fond of the steady drum beats nicely intertwined with shimmering rhythms and gentle guitar plucks that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for a laid-back weekend!
