Luna Keller Drops New Single ‘Holy’
Spanish/German singer and songwriter Luna Keller shares her brand new single Holy, a raw and honest reflection on our relationship to our own darkness.
A fan-favourite song after years of playing it on stages all over the world, Holy now sees its official release as her 16th single this year. What I like the most about this song is its warmth and how it is perfect to sing along to. This gem revolves around Keller’s relationship with her own darkness, written from a more reflective space, looking back at her struggle with depression.
A very relatable song that is guaranteed to resonate with many of us and that is flawlessly conveyed through her enchanting, heartfelt vocals which are accompanied by delicate acoustic guitar plucks nicely intertwined with emotive piano keys, captivating rhythms and lush strings that together create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere radiating raw emotion and soul, perfect for an introspective day home alone!
Speaking about the song, Luna Keller said,
One of the hardest things to put into words for me is how depression after a while becomes the norm, the comfort zone in a strange way. So much of my identity was focused on fighting it that the fight became a big part of how I perceived myself, sometimes even glorifying it to justify the path I’m on."I've made suffering holy" - I let it define me. But the song also acknowledges that it's not a sustainable way to live and that there's nothing sacred about suffering - "I'm not holy" is the last line. I’m just human and I can embrace light again.”
