Aylee Drops New Single ‘Slow Down’

British singer and songwriter Aylee has just unveiled her brand new single Slow Down, a heartfelt piano-based electro-pop gem! 

 

The third single to be taken from her upcoming self-produced EP, Slow Down finds the talented singing about the growing pains of early adulthood, feeling like life is moving too fast but you're still stuck in the same place, wishing things slowed down so we can catch up. A very relatable storytelling as I do feel that panic of fallign behind, feeling unaccomplished, like I haven't lived life yet, especially when comparing myself to others. A raw and honest storytelling that is beautifully conveyed through Aylee's delicate vocals which are accompanied by emotive piano keys, lush guitar plucks, subtle rhythms and expansive synths that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for these introspective moments!

Speaking about the song, Aylee said,

'Slow Down' is about feeling like life is moving too fast, but you're not really getting anywhere. I wrote it during a period where I felt like all my friends were growing up, hitting milestones, and I was stuck on the sidelines, not quite measuring up. It’s really personal, full of metaphors and moments that capture that quiet panic of falling behind. I wanted it to sound raw and honest, because I think a lot of people feel this way but don’t always say it out loud.
