Fields of Jake Unveils New Single ‘Single Forever’

Nashville-based artist Fields of Jake shares his brand new single Single Forever, a heartfelt and lighthearted reflection on the intense emotions of love.

I am really enjoying the tone of his voice and how expressive his vocal delivery is, gliding effortlessly over the island-rock background. Produced by longtime collaborator Jim McGorman (Goo Goo Dolls, Sabrina Carpenter) and mixed by Dave Cerminara (Father John Misty, Lana Del Rey), Single Forever invites listeners on a buoyant journey of layered vocals and a distinct beach-pop sound. The way he captures the feeling of waiting for the other "shoe to drop" is very relatable, especially when you are surprised things are going well, so you're a bit anxious and thinking something bad will happen and leave you single forever. Apart from his cascading vocals, I am particularly fond of the killer guitars nicely intertwined with a steady beat and sun-soaked instrumentals that come together to create a sun-soaked, feel-good atmosphere perfect for a relaxing summer weekend!

Speaking about the song, Fields of Jake said,
I wrote this song about the existential anxiety at the start of a relationship that is actually working for once. Waiting for the other ‘shoe to drop’ because that’s all you’ve ever known.
