Red Moon Shares New Single ‘Thermochromatic’

Norwegian avant-pop singer, songwriter and visual artist Red Moon shares her brand new single Thermochromatic, a dreamy slice of ‘siren pop’ heaven.

Produced by Tim Bran and Roy Kerr / MyRiot (London Grammar, Birdy, Aurora, and Rae Morris), Thermochromatic is a song that explores emotional imprint, transformation, and the invisibl fingerprints we leave on each other. A relatable song that is beautifully conveyed through Red Moon's enchanting, siren-like vocals which enhance the song's warmth and airy/dreamy touch. Accompanying her gorgeous vocals and intimate lyrics we have a memorable production that blends lush alt-pop textures with dreamy synths, delicate piano keys and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for an introspective and relaxing weekend!

Speaking about the song, Red Moon said,
Although we finished Thermochromatic back in 2020, it waited quietly, patiently. Releasing it now feels both cathartic and full-circle. It brings me back to a time when I felt creatively lit up and full of momentum. As a kid, I was obsessed with mood rings. I’d stare at the changing colors, trying to decode how I felt or what something meant. Years later, that curiosity returned when the word thermochromatic got stuck in my head. It’s based on the physics term thermochromism, describing how materials change color with heat. But to me, it felt more emotional. Human. Like a pulse something alive, something shifting. Don’t we do that too? That’s really what the song explores how we leave marks on each other. The kind of invisible fingerprints that linger. Like when someone walks into a room and the energy changes, not because of what they say, but simply because of who they are. Some songs come quickly. Others linger and unfold in layers even years after they’re written. Thermochromatic was both. Thermochromatic isn’t just for lovers, though there’s a sensual note to it. It’s for anyone who’s ever made you see yourself differently. The people who lit something in you without even knowing. A lover, a friend, a mentor or a stranger whose words stayed with you. Those little "thermochromatic" moments…brief but lasting.
