Tonia Shares New Single ‘Cut the Cloth, Didn’t I’

Rising alt-pop artist Tonia shares her brand new single Cut the Cloth, Didn’t I, a stirringly soulful track about the slow dismantling and gradual unravelling of a once really close and important relationship.

Produced by London-based friend and collaborator Sfven, Cut the Cloth, Didn't I finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing her rich, powerful vocals, dreamy harmonies and storytelling abilities over a memorable alt/synthpop production. This is a song about coming to terms that many relationships don't last forever and that it is ok to let them go and, though you lost someone, they will always be a part of you. It shows that we shouldn't force things, a message flawlessly conveyed through Tonia's stunning vocals which are accompanied by delicate guitar strums that are seamlessly intertwined with steady drum patterns, building up in pace and tension with fuzzy synths and bass, beautifully enhancing the emotion of her storytelling!

Speaking about the song, Tonia said,
It’s about coming to terms with the reality that sometimes relationships in your life naturally end and it’s ok to let them go… Realising that you don’t have to lose parts of yourself for someone else, and understanding that you can’t force things, or people, to stay together.
