Starlight Alice Drop New Single ‘Distance’

British duo Starlight Alice, consisting of artists Jacob Browne and Luke Potter, are back with their brand new single Distance, a captivating pop song about going through a rocky moment in a relationship. 

 

As the title implies, Distance is a song about being in a relationship and feeling like your partner is growing distant and all you wonder is what caused it, wanting answers to this growing separation. Despite the love you have for that person it seems that is not enough, no matter how much you plead to know the root of the problem there's little you can do to change that person's mind and you simply grow apart from each other. 

 

A sad, relatable storytelling with heartfelt lyrics that is wrapped around a contrasting upbeat production that makes you sing along to it right after the very first listen. I am loving Jacob Browne's rich, passionate vocals which radiate so much emotion and soul, gliding effortlessly over the upbeat production. Accompanying his heartfelt delivery we have Luke Potter's lovely backing vocals and harmonies that together are nicely backed by upbeat guitar riffs and lively piano keys that create an upbeat, feel-good atmosphere that is in stark contrast with the lyrics.
