Jacob Sorenson Shares New Single ‘Closing The Door’

American singer and songwriter Jacob Sorenson has just shared his brand new single Closing The Door, a captivating alt-pop song with a country touch! 
 
Out now via Color Your World, Closing The Door is a song about a past breakup and the hope of young love until both grow up and realise that it wasn't meant to be! A very relatable storytelling that is nicely conveyed through Sorenson's smooth, expressive vocals which are accompanied by a trap-inspired beat nicely paired with twangy guitar plucks and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm and emotional atmosphere perfect for an introspective weekend alone!

 

 

Speaking about the song, Jacob Sorenson said,
I wrote this song about a relationship 15 years ago. I broke up with my girlfriend on my parents front porch and she gave me back a promise ring that I had given to her. We hoped we would someday get back together, but we both grew up and moved on, and are happily married to other people... this song is about the feeling back then when we broke it off and the hope of young love, but the reality that it wasn't meant to be, and turning the page.
