tmdistant Shares New Single ‘jenna (too perfect)’

UK-based alternative artist tmdistant returns with his brand new single jenna (too perfect), a powerful and anthemic indie-pop/rock cut out now via Nü Inc. Sound.

tmdistant uses actress Jenna Ortega as a symbol in this track, a celebration of beauty, both inside and out, reminding listeners that they are perfect just as they are. This uplifting and empowering message is beautifully conveyed through tmdistant's passionate vocals which soar effortlessly over the polished production. This is a high-energy song that pairs soaring guitar riffs, punchy drums and pop-punk rhythms that create an overall upbeat, empowering atmosphere. Accompanying the release, tmdistant shares its official music video, directed by primero, which effortlessly embodies the passion and energy of his storytelling.

Speaking about the song, tmdistant said,
This song is all about empowerment. You’re perfect just how you are. Social media always gives us a false sense of what perfect is, how women should be, how men should be, but at the end of the day we’re all perfect as we are individually and I love how Jenna Ortega is so unapologetically herself so I couldn’t help myself but to write a song about her while also talking about us all at the same time. I think she’s such a beautiful person and it reminded me of all the beautiful people who let their light be tainted by the ideas of society but instead we should all love ourselves for who we are no matter what others are saying or what the internet says. So many beautiful women don’t believe they’re enough or don’t believe in themselves that they’re truly beautiful so I wanted to make something to talk to them and let it be known that they’re too perfect just the way they are no matter what people say or think. I think about it a lot so it was only right to turn those thoughts into a song.
