What I like the most about this song is Slow Code's smooth, evocative vocals which beautifully infuse the song with a memorable dose of emotion and warmth that instantly got me excited to want to share it with you guys. His 6th release as Slow Code, Ships in the Daylight is a song about realising that we're powerless to control which direction our lives go, sometimes drifting towards each other, and sometimes away from each other. A relatable storytelling backed by warm atmospherics, echoing harmonies and delicate guitar plucks that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.
