Award-winning roots/Americana artist Noah Derksen shares his brand new single Through It All, a heartfelt Americana/Alt-Country song out now via One More Pastime.
Written for SiriusXM's Top of the Country competition last year, Through It All is a song about having to say goodbye to a long-term partner and the sorrow that comes from the decision of leaving such relationship. It's a love song of sorts, flawlessly conveyed through Derksen's rich, expressive vocals which exude raw, honest emotion and soul that instantly gave me the feels. Backing his heartfelt vocal delivery we have delicate acoustic guitar plucks that are seamlessly intertwined with steady drum patterns and subtle organ keys that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, Noah Derksen said,
I wrote this song in Boston with my friend Lindsay on a painfully beautiful December morning—the kind where the sun has no business shining so bright and you forget having ever felt sorrow. It’s a love song, of sorts. I had just bade permanent goodbye to a long-term partner, and was lamenting how all had been well yet still I felt the need to up and leave.
