néomí, the moniker of Surinamese/Dutch folk-pop singer-songwriter Neomi Speelman, has just shared her brand new single talk shit, the latest single to be taken from her long-awaited debut album somebody’s daughter, out now via [PIAS] Recordings. 

 

I am loving néomí's rich, soulful vocals which exude so much emotion that instantly makes me feel each and every single word she is singing. Her vocals are definitely the star of the song and I really like how they are backed by upbeat drum patterns that create a blissful vibe which contrasts with the lyrical content. I am also very fond of the guitar licks, dreamy harmonies and cool electronics that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for a laid-back weekend.
