Hunter Metts Shares New Single ‘Monochrome’

Tennessee-based singer, songwriter and producer Hunter Metts shares his brand new single Monochrome, the title track from his forthcoming EP, out on June 14th on Position Music. 

I am really enjoying the raw, melancholic atmosphere of the song and how it allows for Hunter's gorgeous, expressive vocals to soar. Monochrome is a song about how one feels after the end of a relationship, from the numbness and lack of life, like everything lost its colour and just turned to grey. You can truly feel the raw emotion pouring from his gorgeous vocals and how it is backed by delicate guitar riffs which are then paired with warm atmospherics, echoing harmonies and steady drum patterns that build up in energy towards the end to match the emotions pouring from his heartfelt delivery. 

 

Speaking about the song, Hunter Metts said, 

I wanted Monochrome to capture the feeling of a relationship's end, where everything feels dull and lifeless. Its indie-folk and alternative tones mirror the gray, stagnant emotions of knowing you have to move on.
