Bess Atwell Shares New Single ‘I Am Awake’

British singer and songwriter Bess Atwell has just shared her brand new single I Am Awake, a striking indie-folk/pop gem taken from her brand new album, Light Sleeper, out now via Lucy Rose’s Communion imprint Real Kind Records. 

 

What I like the most about this song is how smooth and tender it sounds, like a warm embrace on a cold, rainy day. The star of the song is Atwell's rich, enchanting vocals which exude so much soul and emotion, effortlessly drawing listeners into a hazy, yet comforting soundscape. Apart from her stunning, siren-esque vocals, I am particularly fond of the delicate piano keys which are nicely paired with glistening electronics, intricate acoustic guitar riffs and catchy rhythms that together create an overall smooth and soothing atmosphere.
