What I like the most about this song is its dark, sensual atmosphere that makes it perfect for a Friday night out! Written about sex addiction, fool is a song about staying with someone toxic and abusive just because the sex is amazing. This feeling is effortlessly conveyed through those lush, expressive vocals which are backed by a captivating electronic production. I am particularly fond of the eerie synths seamlessly paired with subtle piano keys and infectious percussive elements that come together to create an overall warm, sensual atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, ANTHXNYY said,
I wrote this about sex addiction. There's been so many people in and out of my life that I had an attachment to that were completely toxic, wrong, abusive physically and emotionally that I could not let go of because the sex was amazing. It literally became a thing where I had a clear understanding that this person is absolutely fucking terrible for me but damn... this feels SO damn good.
