YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB Shares New Single ‘Self-Care 101’

London-based French-Cameroonian indie pop artist and producer YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB shares her brand new single Self-Care 101, an upbeat indie-pop/rock cut that shares a message of self-exploration and acceptance.

Out now on Nü Inc. Sound / AKIBA Records, Self-Care 101 is a powerful anthem of personal triumph and growth, finding the talented artist beautifully showcasing her gorgeous vocals and heartfelt lyrics over a high-energy indie-pop/rock production. Apart from her passionate delivery, I am particularly fond of the soaring guitars and punchy drums that create such an upbeat atmosphere, effortlessly enhancing the emotion of her uplifting storytelling. Self-Care 101 is the third single taken from her forthcoming EP, We're all gonna die anyway, which is set to release on June 6th.

Speaking about the song, YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB said,

This song is pretty much a wake up call to myself. I spent way too many years picking on every single little thing about me, worrying about what I didn't like about myself, and feeling so hopeless about it all instead of living and enjoying my time here. At some point last year, after an eye-opening talk with my mom who's mentioned in the song, I literally realised I couldn't go on like this any longer. So I did some work. It's still a work in progress, but I'm hopeful. This song is my testimony.
